He's official!!

Got my son his first hunting license today. He was almost as excited as I was! We are headed to the lease this weekend for some work then practice on the range with his 22, then blackout then Valkyrie. His goal is to kill a deer or pig this year. My goal is to have him ready. He's been shooting the 22 for a few years.

That right there is what it's all about. Very well done Dad. Great picture. I wish him all the good hunting in the world.

Scott, if you can swing it somehow save up and get him a Combo Lifetime License ASAP, currently $1800.00,, Maybe get one for yourself.

Right on man, thats what it's all about. My son has been shooting a .17 and an AR this year and will be ready to hunt piggies in the spring I believe

Indeed you need to save the first hunting license. He can show his kids someday and tell them "see, license were on paper in the old days"
I wish I had held on to my daughters licenses, I thought about it too late.

I told my wife that I'd like to figure out a way to keep this and his future licenses.

Yeah, thought about the lifetime license after I got this one ($7). Maybe as a Christmas present and I'll ask his grandparents and favorite uncle to pitch in.
