Yes, heartwarming to see our kids having fun involving something other than video games. But...you might want to wait on getting an off-shore rig. When they get 'driving age', have their own set of wheels and an interest in 'girls', previous things they did with 'dad' can change. You can always charter a boat to go fishing.
I was half-joking. A boat like that is way above my pay grade. I sure would love to have a little skiff though.
You can have an awful lot of fun Bay Fishing (Specks, Reds, Flounder, etc) and not have too much tied up in a fishing rig. Then just charter for offshore.
Offshore... depends on what you are after....but you won't have much luck with some species until you get out to the Water Change or Blue Water and that can be 50 miles out sometimes.
By now you're already aware, kids don't really care that much what they catch, they mostly just want to catch a lot of something and the time spent with Dad creates invaluable and indelible memories.
