guys i intend on training her to retrieve deer..any info would be appreciated..ive ordered couple of books..i will chronicle her traininig..

SJ ive owned lots of breeds of hounds but my favs are the treeing walker..had one little bitch out of a worlds champion i bought at the state hunt in fairfield about 20 years ago and had her treeing her own coon by 6 months..lock down tree dog..hunted with a guy one night and turnd
ed down 1000$ cash at the truck stop coming home..next day she got out of her pen and was run over and killed..i quit hunting for good..until this lil pup i got from a guy i hunted with back then..training her to be a deer retriever..or at least thats the plan..lol

Gonna be tough breaking her from breaking on a hot coon track while deer trailing, but sounds like it's not your first rodeo. She should do great. I would still be hunting hounds if all my night hunting grounds within decent driving distance had not grown houses.

thats a big problem..sJ no place to hunt now days..there are places 100 miles away..but you could only hunt on weekends and that wouldnt be fair to a young dog..

dustin..you wont be saying that for long..you think the beagle justin has barks(doesnt bother me one bit)..wait till you hear her..im going to obedience train her..so until then..ill be taking her everytime i go to the lease..probably have to sleep in the camper with me so yall can sleep..
