On this day 5 years ago - 06/17/19 09:50 AM

I lost the greatest hunting partner and wife a guy could ask for to a TEXTING DRIVER. This year we would have celebrated our 20 year anniversary. My wife will also miss my sons graduation as he is about to start his senior year of high school. Please people DON'T TEXT AND DRIVE!!!

So sad and needless. Lost my previous wife and mother to my youngest daughter (8 at the time) to drunk driving 23 years ago. I totally understand your pain. Good for you for keeping her memory alive.

I was sitting at a green light yesterday when a young lady ran the red light in front of me in cross traffic. She was staring at her phone and never saw her red light and never looked up. Fortunately I had seen her or I might be a victim.

Condolences to you, OP, and prayers for a healing heart. Put the phones down, people.

June 19 will be the 10 year anniversary of when a texting teenager took my younger brother.

Thank you for sharing this reminder. Prayers that wonderful memories of your wife give you comfort.

June 19th was also the 20th anniversary of my best friend's tragic death when broadsided by a 15 year old who had "stolen" his grandparent's pickup for a joyride.
