Still Chasing Hens

The Turkeys around the house are kind of tame. I went out to check on the cows and rode up to within about 25 yds of this fella on my 4 wheeler while he was dancing for a hen. Quality is lacking - I don't have a great phone camera.

Nice looking bird, never cared for wild turkey meat. Though if my deer lease happened to be in an area that had a lot of them I’d shoot them.

A phone cam is nice, but one of the $100 Canon point shoot cameras is a good investment. They fit in the pocket, turn it on, aim and shoot and you get great pics.

Good looking turkey.
I tried many times this weekend to get a tom to respond, I never heard a single gobble.
