Hate them suckers. Nothing worse than having to wrangle a calf with a face full of quills and try to remove them.

25 years on the ranch running 800 to 1200 cows a year and never seen one with a quill stuck in it. Sure see them with a face full of Prickly Pear!

My hounds, especially youngsters try them on every now and then and it is one mess. Seems to me that horses are the worst livestock about getting a nose full of quills...I guess that it's the curiosity.
