First & Second blood with my new CTR

I picked up a Tikka CTR in 6.5CM in October, mounted a Bushnell 4.5-18 LRHSi and sighted in some 140 Grain EDLM precision ammo from Chad (Custom Reloads of Dallas), then doped it out to 800 and started hunting with it in November.

This past weekend, I was invited by a vendor/friend to his family ranch outside of Cotulla. We were there to kill does and culls. Their culls would be trophies on my lease so I was glad to help. Unfortunately we didn't see many does, but saw a lot of young 10 points and a few monster deer that they aren't shooting yet in order to let them breed. The first kill with it was my first bobcat. Shot it at 140 yards on the move.



The next hunt was a cull buck, tall 8 point. 160 yards.

I'm having the hide tanned. Taxidermist said they can turn that into a full body mount at a later date. I bought 3 guns and 3 scopes this year so the taxidermy budget is pretty low!
