Decisions, decisions - 12/03/18 07:52 PM
Was out hunting with my 10 yr old and just before dark this guy walked out at the end of the field, about 320 yards away. I put the rifle up because I could tell he had some decent antlers. My son looked at him through the binoculars. I had decided to pass on him, but had second thoughts as I saw his width when he walked straight away from me. Man, what to do? He's a nice enough buck. In the end, my son said "Dad, you HAVE to shoot him! He's HUGE!"
In the end, he's not the biggest or nicest around or even the biggest seen on our ranch this year, but my son was over the moon that I shot him, and that's all that counts, isn't it?
Inside spread is about 17.5"
