What kind of snake?

Guessing it's some sort of Coachwhip but it's not like the ones I usually see out here.

It looks a little like a Western Ribbon, but has some well defined checked patterns that question that.

How do you figure? It doesn't have a single characteristic of any venomous Texas snake. No dangerous snakes in North America have stripes.
