I've seen one like it in my lifetime. In Webb County about 15 or 20 years ago. Walked out into the sunlight on a sendero and sat down in the middle, like Bobcats often do.

Very cool.
I'm no scientist, but I believe the cat was bound to die of something. Might as well preserve it in a nice mount.
