Florida Part-2 The Glades

The Glades!

This was one of the highlights of the trip for me....the glades and the keys were bucket list items for me and they did not disappoint. The diversity and beauty of this place is beyond my words. Most people were blowing thru at 75 mph....we took back roads and side roads seeing some amazing wildlife and natural beauty!





Guard gator.....

We saw lots of huge softshell turtles.....



I told SpitFire if she was not careful we would have to change her name to Stub-2!


Right after this pic the turtle backed up and its shell touched her feet...well, she commenced to doing a combination of the jitterbug and a highstep at the same time.....if only I was on video instead of picture.

Black panthers must exist in the everglades.....they have their own road crossing sign......

100% cottonmouth.

She was about 15 feet when I saw her over there....I said, "Do you know how fast those things can move!" She backed up a little bit and said take my picture with it.....SMDH.....
