snake ID help

My son came across this snake in Harper, I've never seen this one before

I came across the same kind of snake in Stephenville but didn't know what it was

Both are very similar in appearance also. Territories are similar and both occur in Texas.

Pretty sure that is a Rough Greensnake. My dad always called them a grass snake.

Saw one near my stand early last season. Green color was very bright. First I'd seen in Many years. I was 11 or 12 years old and stuck one in my buddy's tackle box. He didn't see the same Humor I did! bolt

Seen two in springtown, Parker county the other day. They were hanging out three feet high in a briar thicket. We were clearing land.

Had one as a pet in high school. VERY quick little boogers and an absolute escape artist. walking
