One of the bigger ones I've seen for a while, it's going to push 5 ft.

No use for one. I hate snakes. Great picture though. Hope you were using a zoom and not leaning in.

Nice. Made some good money catching rattlers years ago. Live market was really high at one time

Your post made me curious so I looked into current prices. At the 2018 Rattlesnake Roundup, they paid as low as $1 / pound! And that was with a 7,000 lb total buying limit, which from other things I read is a fraction of what is available at the roundup.

Re: Just enjoying the sun! - 03/18/18 05:58 PM
Thanks for the pics.
We're going to Knox City area this coming weekend to chase pigs.
There are supposed to be tons of snakes out there.
It was too cold and windy when we went last year and only saw two little ones.
I'm hoping for a good showing this time.
I even bought a new snake hook / stick to help move the guys if needed.
Great picture.
I love snakes, but I hate getting near them suckers, scary.

Just a thought if you get bit, gonna cost between $30,000 to $100,000 for anti venom and ER stay depending on the bite.
"It’s about a $45,000 mistake to be bitten by a venomous snake in this country, and that’s if nothing goes wrong," said Daryl Sprout, of Snake Encounters, a DFW-based experience described as "The Ultimate Live Animal Show."
