Things are looking good, but I think I'm going to give them another year before I start hunting them.

By now the turkeys know the free lunch location, I would go ahead and hunt this spring.

Good beards on some. Turkeys seem to come and go. Go ahead and take 1 this spring.

They may not be there in the Spring. Their spring and fall grounds are often different.

The closest bird in the first pic is a big old gobbler. He has some real good spurs and a great beard.

Mature birds a couple have 10+ inch beards. The true way to age a bird is not by beard length, rather length and size or weight of the spurs. In that sandy country, they usually grow good spur length. Sneaky is right, in some areas, fall and winter range may be different than spring and summer.
Good luck and Adios,
Gary
