Don't Blame the Raccoon - 12/28/17 02:38 AM
I was getting ready to have a field day on coons because I kept finding the varmint guard to this feeder on the ground. Who showed this guy how to check the feeder!

Maybe I can teach him to fill the feeders so I don't need to haul a ladder around with me.
Thats hilarious. Clever deer!

That's funny. Might need a better varmint guard.

Funny, but I agree that he needs to go. Don't want him passing that trait down!

I was thinking about sitting utop the feeder and bull dogging him, not sure what my time would be!

I can remember a few years ago when we were hunting on the 700 Springs Ranch and the auodads were butting the feeder legs and shaking the corn on the ground. Since they were tearing the feeders up, the ranch owner issued a rifle to all the hired hands and told them to shoot any auodads that they saw in the feeder pens. Today, hunters pay good money to kill one of the critters that we considered a nuisance. It was at this time that I also realized that these big goats did not make good table fare.

I knew that they were bad when I saw the Mexican cowboys hauling off the carcasses as they would eat most anything.
Adios,
Gary
You need a deer-proof varmint cage.
We have black bucks that beat the feeder legs with their horns. When they are hungry and there is no corn on the ground you can hear the clang-clang-clang from across the ranch.
