Rough earth I believe. If so they are normally an ok snake to have around. I normally just pick them up they are pretty docile don't ever really get aggressive at all. I tend to let all snakes lie. Do a lot of catch and relocation of snakes even rattlers. But I guess if your unsure better safe than sorry. No sense risking getting bit by something that could be poisonous.

I was told snakes are venomous not poisonous

I picked one up in church one Sunday morning during the middle of the service.....it was crawling across the floor....just slipped it into my pocket then kept my hand covering the opening so it couldn't get out....after the service I let it go outside.....
