SOME REALLY CLOSE CRITTERS (BOWHUNTING)

SOME REALLY CLOSE CRITTERS (BOWHUNTING) - 10/13/17 10:12 PM

All these survived. The big Sow closest to me was begging for a arrow though. She got to about 4 yards before she smelled where I had walked it. The young 7 point was at 5 yards at one point. Came in directly behind me and never knew I was there.

Really fun being at ground level with these critters!!

No I always have 3 with me in the stand. I had shot a nice Boar the day before and didn't want to mess with another hog so soon.

Were you in a ground blind or just sitting in a chair out in the open?

Just little ground blinds I make with cattle panels and brush in with cedar.

Nice! But go ahead and hit those piggies! They are a blight on the face of the earth and need to be eliminated, even if you don't need pork for the freezer!

Cool photos!

I have done some hunting like that in the past, but ticks have kept me out of the brush blinds lately, they have been thick!

Not this time. There were actually 8 pigs in that group with 2 very nice Sows. If I see them again when its cooler outside I will probably turn one of those Sows into breakfast sausage.

Very nice. Makes me consider hunting out of ground blinds more often but I can't seem to get out of the tripod/tree grin That looks like a Slick Trick that bolt is wearing....regardless of the brand it looks like it's ready to eat laugh

Love them!!! Been using them about 5 seasons now and no complaints. Blood trails like you wouldn't believe!
