I found this guy opening weekend. As of yesterday, he's still roaming the brush country. I had guessed 5 year old, 150ish.

If that buck was on my place he would suffer a sudden and fatal case of lead poisoning. Beautiful buck right there.

Maybe. But you may be thinking of a young promising 12 two years ago that disappeared and is presumed dead. RIP. That one had amazing potential. Below is last years pic of the subject buck.

Since I'm blowing off work, I thought I'd revisit this thread from last year. The subject buck was seen on the last weekend of the season and is presumed alive and well. We hope to have a look at him in a few days. Anyone care to guess what kind of jump he'll make? Average to below average rain in the spring and we feed protein, if that helps.
