A big buck will get me excited but when one of these boys walk in on you its a whole different feeling. If you have never been up close to a big live bear its hard to explain. Its a rush you will never forget. Date is not correct these pics are 3 days old.

Had one of those once; sitting in a convertible blocked in a line of traffic headed up Clingman's Dome in the North Carolina Smokies when one shuffled up beside the car, put his paws on the door while we examined each other from 6 inches apart. Guess youth and ignorance left me not too concerned once he shuffled off down the mountain. Just glad we didn't have any food remnants in the car.

Nice! As Fishbox said, was hiking to the App Trail head near Clingmans and came across a mom and her two cubs. She cleared us out of there pretty quick.
