I'd say 3.5. Those pictures through the scope show pretty clearly that he isn't 4.5. He looks like he may even be 2.5 in one photo, but everything else says 3. In a wet year like this, I am always going to go with the younger age if I'm stuck between 2 ages. Also, I'd rather give a buck an extra year than take him when he's too young. That deer has good potential, so I'd let him walk at least another year.

I plan to let him walk. The problem I have is the surrounding properties. I hunt on a 360 acre property. I have yet to be able to get in touch with the neighbors to see if they follow any sort of game mgmt. It is very hard to manage a small property. With that said, we do not like shooting anything under at least the age of 4. I would like to see this guy make it another 2 years.
