My daughter shot a doe tonight!!! - 11/15/15 04:05 AM
My 17 year old daughter has hunted some with me through the years. But it's been several years since we hunted together. Decided to go out tonight to try and get her one.
Got in the blind at 2:30 and settled in. Didn't see anything till late. This big, mature doe came out right before sunset. She was looking our way with a cautious but not scared look. When she went behind some scrub bushes my daughter got the .270 up on the tripod. I waited for a broadside view and told her to take the shot. She made a perfect heart shot. Only went about 10 yards.
I skinned, quartered and de-boned the deer and got it in a cooler on ice now. Great memories were made and some great venison will be coming soon! God is good!

That looks like one big doe and she looks like she couldn't be happier. It would be hard for me not to frame that photo if she was my daughter, they start getting real busy at that age it seem like.
