Awesome week. - 09/26/15 04:55 PM
Had the opportunity to take a good friend out on his first ever hog hunt. He wanted to take one with his pistol. He harvested the first one from a ground blind with his glock at 14 yards. The next day we were able to find him a bigger one so he got to return home with some meat and some teeth. I had an auodad hunt booked out west the day after he left so I wanted to test out the rifle at long rang if I got the chance since I figured my shot on aoudad would not be close. We were able to find a nice hog and ranged him at 497 yards. I made a good shot and dropped him in his tracks setting a new ranch record for longest kill shot. So I headed out west with a little confidence boost. The first night we were able to put the sheep to bed on the mountain and the next morning picked up hunt. End up located him again and got within range. Ranged him at 322 yards and was able to place a good shot on him. He made down the hill side about 30 yards and buckled. Thanks again to everyone down at 4 amigos ranch to make sure Dillon got his hogs and mulie mike from west texas hunt for setting me out west with a great sheep hunt.
