My best season ever.(pic heavy) - 11/22/14 04:46 AM
Sitting here watching hunting shows on tv and listening to the guy talk about his best season ever got me thinking about my best season. I then realized that in the midst of moving I never posted pics of my success that year. In 2012 I had the most amazing year of my hunting career. I shot 2 mature bucks, a huge hog, and several does. Saw some really nice and very big bucks as well. Had an absolute giant shot just over the fenceline from us that i had been hunting hard. Best part was my dad was with me when I took the second buck. Great times shared with my all time favorite hunting buddy. Hopefully I'll have more pics to share this year too. Both bucks were aged at 5.5
First Buck. Gross scored 129. Loved the split brow tine
Second buck. Scored 128. Him and the first buck were running buddies during early season.
My huge hog. He was an ancient old dude. His front teeth were worn down to the gums. One of his bottom tusks was broke and the other was completely missing. He weighed right at 350lbs.
And finally the one that still haunts my dreams. Was shot on property behind us. I hunted this buck hard and had him on camera during the day several times. He was very elusive and erratic in his patterns. That's how they get this big. Not bad for less than 800 acres low fence in the shinery country.
