We took this deer on our low fence lease this weekend. We have watched him for 3 years and he is 7.5 or 8.5 years old. He had 21 inch inside spread and his fourth beam measurement was over 6 inches. 15 points. Official gross score 197

Just purely awesome there. How big a ranch do you have and do you protein feed?

Not trying to knock the deer or you r place at all, I am just wondering if that deer is the work of some hard management or just a freak of nature. I would be luck y to find a deer that old on my place, but it is small and some hunting pressure all around. Just curious

a large south texas ranch and years of management, protein, and much hard work and effort and great genetics

I think that G-1 and mass were a typo error

You are correct on the G1 - should have been 4.3 and mass 5.3. The scoresheet I have is a copy and hard to read - thanks
