Just out of Range!

Saturday morning I had this guy come by just a little out of my bow range. He peaked out behind the bushes at about 50 yards and kept moving right on past me. The closest he got was maybe 45 yards. Never thought about going to the feeder at all. I got the video just as he was about to disappear. He looked to be a main frame 10 or 11 with maybe another point or two mixed in. This is one of the biggest deer Ive seen on our place for sure though. Nothing like a big one to get your heart pumping! Hopefully I can get another shot at him next weekend! Let me know what you guys think of him.

(I know some guys can make a 45yard shot with their bow but Im just not comfortable taking a shot that long yet. I would rather wait and see if I cant get him a little closer)

Good decision. a 45 yard shot on a Texas whitetail is very iffy.

Tough to do sometimes when it's a great buck like that but always a wise choice no matter trophy or doe.

That is one great Buck and you are one good sportsman. Too many folks would take a chance and wound and lose a nice buck under those circumstances. I respect you sir!!!!
