I quit going across the river when things like that started carrying guns.

BTW STX..speaking of rivers. Your hunting ground had some good river running through it Friday when I came through there on my way back from Stockton

I hunt west of Stockton about 20 miles. No rivers cross the ranch. But it would be nice if there was that much water running across it. Not sure the LO would like the fence repairs though. crazy

That whole area was getting some good rains Friday. Maybe not enough to wash out the water gaps but enough to get things flowing. Sure it didn't last long though, as dry as that country has been.

According to radar the big rains were east of 67 and south of 10 for the most part with some down closer to Alpine. I don't think we had more than .30" from what I could tell.

Lucky you found him while sorting laundry... I put on a pair of shorts a year or so ago and had a surprise. He got me 3 times in a delicate area before I could get them back off! Never seen one that small.

I kill between 1-2 million of those things every year.

Where you find one that size you'll likely find others. Be on the lookout.
