3 Legged Bob Tail Coyote?

I got a picture of this guy in action in the fall, I have been trying to get him again since. Finally he checked out my dead cow. So what do you all think? Coyote? Dog? Sure is weird!

Really looks more like a dog to me. Shorter hair than a note. Possibly a yote/dog mix.

1st pic kinda looks like a red heeler but second I could lean towards wiley coyote that has had it pretty rough. The old saying coyote ugly poor guy must have woke up with his arm around something uglier than him. She must have bit his tail off on his way out.
