called a group of turkeys in from 350 yds!

I was sitting in my truck at work down here in south texas and saw a group of turkeys come out in the corner of the pasture at about 350 yds. I threw my spotting scope up and was checking them out, when all of a sudden I got the bright idea of calling them in. I didnt have a call or anything but ive practiced a long time just using my mouth to call. So I thought what the heck its worth a shot. Sure enough a few yelps and I got their attention, but they ran back to the corner. So at first I thought I scared them away, but low and behold here they come along the woodline. I kept calling and they came all the way up to the fence surrounding my location lol...Just thought id share with yall a few pictures I took through my spotting scope.

That's is cool and so much fun. Two years ago I was hunting on the Red River in Oklahoma and got one to fly across from Texas. He did not survive the encounter. Coolest hunt of my life.

What did you call them with?

No call! Just used my mouth to make a hen yelp....I've practice for many years!

That's pretty unusual to get a turkey to fly across the river. I had a gobbler come into my calling and he wanted in bad! Gobbled 3 times a minute strutting nonstop and he needed to come another 30 yards to be in the dead zone. He eventually lost interest. Went over to see what was holding him up and it was a small creek that was about 2 feet wide

Thats cool. Nice to see other people try to call birds in without a call. I've done it before, but only with a group of hens because I figured I was surrounded and my hunt was over. They came pretty close. My buddy I was with said they were probably trying to figure out what kind of mentally incompetent bird was yelping in a fence row.

if you can call a turkey in without a caller , does that mean you can speak Turkish?... .....nice job there!
