whats happening to this buck....

this buck started looking like this about 10 days ago and as u can see in the pics, he shed one antler a few nights ago. i do have a couple smaller bucks that have started shedding antlers too so maybe that doesnt mean anything.

he was a healthy looking buck two weeks ago but i deleted a bunch of old pics and cant find one from before this happened to him. he appeared to be an age class younger than the wide one he runs with in the first few pics.

Looks like his entire body is swelling.

He needs to be tested, he may be Juicing

If this was a cow, I would say hardware. Seen it many times when a cow gets a piece of metal stuck in them that they have swallowed. Never seen it in a deer though.

Maybe he lost his "onions" jumping a fence????

Age... He is an old deer.

I have seen a segement on NAW TV once about a deer with something similar to this. It was commented about but I do not remember what was said.

I think I have seen a deer on this forum that did the same thing.

Perhaps he was bitten or stung? Dunno.

Probably? That was my first inclination. No reason it couldn't be as they are ruminants. Maybe, from swallowing 30-06 hulls.
