Gave my .17 a new wardrobe!

Gave my .17 a new wardrobe! - 02/25/13 03:49 PM

I taped the inside of the scope and sprayed a khaki base.

Then I taped some old pieces cut off a broom and alternated olive and a brown.

Then lightly misted khaki over it again and this is the finished product!

..

It's the first one I have ever done and I am pleased with it. Tell me what y'all think!

I used that Krylon Rustoleum that's made to stick to plastic or metal. We will see how long it holds up on this gun which is my truck gun. But I have heard it lasts pretty well.

Looks great! Ive never thought about using a broom. The last 2 I did my wife about kicked me out for cannabilizing a thanksgiving scarecrows hair, and her Christmas flower arrangement the second time.

Thanks guys the broom was 4 bucks at Walmart just a corn broom and it worked good. You just have to be careful with the brown because its dark and over sprays show up on the lighter khaki and green. I'm happy none the less after a little more practice I might do my VTR.

What action is that? It's not a Savage, so that leaves Marlin, Remington, CZ, and maybe Mossberg. Old and not expensive drop CZ, and Remington.

It's a mossberg with a little Tasco 3-9..
