Been there done that. A buddy had an awesome video of one that came up his tree and was met face to face with the muzzle end of a Ruger Redhawk .44 point blank at the top of his head, big boom followed by a loud flop, and lots of giggling! Them son bitches can climb like theres no tomorrow, and in a hurry.

That's why I carry a pistol with me always but I can't decide if I would have shot the bear or jumped out of the tree! That's nuts!

Makes me want to start bear hunting! Man those bears are intense that sucker got up that tree in no time. Lol!

Mother is on the ground, the cub climbs the tree, two different bears.

That bear would have choked on the foul odor riseing up from my britchs.

Looked to me like a juvenile chased up the tree by a dominant bear. Very common pre and post getting their azz kicked!

Very cool video. The camera guy looked just like my GI Joe I had when I was a kid (the good ones).

My brother went on a bear hunt in canada this summer. When they went to the blind they guide kept stopping to pick up stones on the ground. Of course my brother asked why and he said when the bear climbs the tree lol! And what do you know a bear climbed the tree and everybody threw small stones at it haha!

Been there except I wasn't up a tree. Was in a convertible in a line of traffic on the way up to Clingman's dome in the Blue Ridge mountains. The traffic stopped and I discovered it was because there was a black bear walking along the side of the road and I first saw it when he cleared the pickup in front of me.
We had a very good look at each other when he put his paws on the passenger side door to check me out. Guess he didn't find me appetizing or threatening and after a very long minute dropped down and wandered on off.
Took me a while to start breathing again.

That son-of-a-gun woulda had a hard time climbing my tree with a bunch of poop in his face!

Maybe an emergency zip line is in order since an ejection seat wouldn't work.
