What tha? Open for debate

Saw this in the background on a game camera pic. This was taken south of Nacogdoches near Sam Rayburn. I apologize for the picture quality, but I don't have internet on my computer and had to take a picture of a blown up picture. Anyways, two things are for sure... Whatever it is, it is quartering away and carrying something in its mouth. Any ideas?

If that's a tail, it's clearly a dog/yote.

Moutain lions don't wag their tails upright when they walk.

It could be the cat had its tail up to balance the weight it has in its mouth. You know how some cats mouths overload their butts sometimes

Holding the tail up would have the opposite effect.

Google pics of cougs dragging heavy dead animals. Tails down.

They basically only use their tails to keep their balance when they're moving. If this pic is a coug, he's either in the act of killing whatever is in his mouth, or he's stumbling or something.
