Re: ribeyes? - 07/13/12 02:00 AM

hmmmmmm, I dunno 'bout that. I think ribeyes should only be seasoned with salt and pepper, then a little butter when done. That fungi would have to be scraped to the side.

We'd enjoy the same steaks...... fungi have no place in the food chain whatsoever

Re: ribeyes? - 07/13/12 09:38 PM

thanks for all the kind words.....for the ones that commented about salt and pepper only........i can not disagree....the absolute best ribeyes ive ever cooked and/or eaten are seasoned with koshar salt and fresh ground black pepper and a touch of garlic.....nothing more...then over a hot mesquite fire medium rare.....not many things in this world better....but sometimes i like to try some new things and this was one of those times and i must say i enjoyed it very much..........as for the fungi.....i think it is alot like asparagus....either you love it or you hate it so much you wouldnt want to feed it to your dog...again...thank for the kind words and may god bless .....randy

We'd get along, mushrooms and asparagus are 2 of my favorite sides with a steak. Especially bacon or prosciutto wrapped asparagus.
