I saw him in person Friday afternoon.. He came to another feeder i have with 14 other deer. He looked fine in person, just looks really old. I had him in front of me for almost an hour. He was as close as 25 yards to me.

Not real familiar with mulies but he has no hock stains, not much shoulder muscle, thin neck, straight back, short face= young, but not really familiar with mule deer,so my option may not matter.

Young buck. There are some really nice mulies around Childress if you happen to be in the right place.

Folks.. this is a 2.5 year old muley buck.. and he's not sick, just a little worn out from the rut. Looks like he's been eating well. Give him 2 or 3 more years and he could be a nice one.

Agreed with the 2-4 yr old buck. Had a rough rutting season looks like but it will all heal fine. Thin neck and shoulders shows he is still growing and fat belly shows he finds feeders regularly. Leave him a season or two with his ladies. He should make some young'ens.

Looks like a young mule deer to me.

I would agree that it is only a 2.5 yr old Mule Deer. They always look older than they really are since they are bigger than a WT the same age.

Young Muly. That's awesome that y'all have them though. Wait till he starts growing some forks and he will look old.

Very young buck. My guess is he is going to turn 3 this spring and will be 3.5 this hunting season.

No thickness in the neck and his nose is elongated. As a muley ages, his nose looks shorter as his nose broadens. This is a 2.5-3.5 year old mule deer buck.
