Carbon Fiber Hunting Knife - 09/15/11 09:54 PM
This is the first iteration of a completely new design that I think I’ll be using a lot in the future. It isn’t really a tactical-style knife at all, but the carbon fiber handle material is popular with the tactical crowd. This particular knife features a 1080 carbon steel blade with a tapered tang. The bolsters and thong hole tube are 304 stainless steel, and the carbon fiber for the handles was sent to me by a customer from the UK who manufactures chassis from it for Formula 1 cars. He ended up buying this one himself.
OAL: 8.6 inches | Blade: 3.6 inches
In other news, this is the 90th knife I've made. With number 100 looming in the relatively near future, I thought it appropriate to include you, the folks that have helped me get this far, in the creation process in order to make #100 extra special. Toward this end, I have created a survey with profile designs, material selections, and embellishment options that will help me to create a truly unique knife that reflects the desires of the people who buy them and look at them. There are also a few questions at the end intended to help me improve my customer service and quality for those of you who have bought my knives before. I would appreciate it if you would take the time to respond; the more feedback I can get the better this and future knives will be. Don’t be afraid to go into detail where appropriate.

As a bit of a participation incentive, I’ve decided to enter all of the people who take the survey into a drawing for a custom tooled flask. I’ve tooled a few with company logos and initials in the past (one can be seen in the “Leather” section of my website), and the winner will receive one personalized with whatever they choose, within the limits of my abilities. I’d normally sell something like this for $50-80, and all you have to do is take quick survey. Be sure to enter your email address at the end or you won’t be entered in the drawing.
As always, you can get on my email list for early dibs on one of my knives by visiting my website and entering in your email address. The whole list has to pass before I'll post a knife for sale here, and that hasn't happened in over a year. Thanks for lookin'!
