Anyone have an opinion on Douglas barrels?

Anyone have an opinion on Douglas barrels? - 01/27/22 08:00 PM

Looking for an AR10 barrel and this seems to be the only manufacturer that I could find.

If you know of another manufacturer that produces a solid, 1 MOA barrel, let me know! smile

No experience with Douglas barrels for an AR, but I've got one of their air gauged barrels on a custom bolt gun in 25-06. Very accurate. With that being said, I'll also second Wilson Combat.

Wilson Combat

The one I have experience is in their assembled rifle, their complete upper, everything. However, the shop I use tells me they sell a large volume of Wilson barrels and assemble them into customer builds with the same great results I got.

Mine wasn't a 1 MOA barrel, more like 1/2. 6.5 Creedmoor, 20".

Douglas makes a great button rifled barrel....as does Wilson Combat, I would not hesitate to use either one.

I agree, have one on a 270 and it's a 200 yard tack driver.

ARP. https://www.ar15performance.com/product

I have two of their barrels and both, including the 12.5 in 6.8 SPC-II, are sub MOA. Do some research on the various forums, especially the 6.8, and you'll find they have an outstanding reputation. I don't think you'll find better bang for your buck... peep

I’ve heard their legit

I used to have an early 1980’s Ruger red pad that was lights out accurate

I couldn’t confirm but believe it had a Douglas

Lex Webernick of Rifles, Inc put a Douglas on my 220 Swift some years ago. I asked him to “make it a shooter”, and he did.
