Who goes hunting without their license on them? Seriously, is this really that big of a problem?
So if your wallet is in the truck most likely you have your phone with you so you still have your license on you. I try not to but sometimes it's not on me.
My wallet is much more necessary in life than my phone. If I find myself having left one behind somewhere, it's always the phone, never the wallet. Plus, how do you ID yourself with the phone? What if the GW asks for that too?
Point is, if your phone holds a higher priority in life that your wallet, you might need to rethink that.
My wallet is never in the field with me. Too much in there to be lost in a dove/deer hunting outing. If GW wants to find out who I am were headed to the truck for more info. Why would my phone show someone else's info?
So you willingly, and after reading this, knowingly break the law.
Quoted from the TPWD app itself,
"While hunting, fishing or trapping, persons 17 years of age or older must carry on their person a valid driver's license or personal identification certificate issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety.Non-residents must carry similar documents issued by the agency in their state or country of residence."
