I saw that too. It was $99 just two weeks ago bang
It appears that basic .223 and 5.56 ammo has gone from %.50 a round to $.60 a round.

And that's still cheap.

I wouldn't hand-load any for sale at that price. Depending on bullet, I would have more in parts than $0.60 per round.

A fair analysis.

Re: Ammo - 02/22/21 01:56 PM

it'll get cheaper if we all stop buying it...supply and demand, ammo companies are raising the price because we continue to purchase...if we all stopped buying ammo for a month, watch what would happen.

Nothing would happen. Vista has a 1 year/1billion dollar backlog.

Lewisville Academy had a bunch of .556, .223, and some 12GA yesterday afternoon. I would get 2 more boxes each of 30-06, .308, and .243 if I could find it for close to the normal price and then I am good for a long long time.

I agree with Mike. Everyone please stop buying ammo. Especially around the Arlington area, just this weekend. I'll let you know Sunday night if we are all good.

I disagree. If you pay attention to what is happening with the economy you will see that rapid inflation is upon us and the value of the dollar is decreasing. Oil prices have doubled in less than 4 months. Everything is getting more expensive for everyone to include ammunition manufacturers, you will see the cost passed down to consumers as a result.

💯 correct. And in a year those crying about ammo prices today are really going to regret not picking up what ever they could when they could at today’s prices. We are looking at a major economic down shift via hyper inflation that has only just begun.
