Mountain Lion - 12/14/20 01:42 PM

Anybody hear anything or see the picture of a mountain lion killed somewhere around Wolfe City ? I saw a picture of one laying on the tailgate with a Game Warden behind it. I think the GW is from Fannin County.

Heard about one but rumors and big cats go together like peas and carrots so who knows. More like a box of chocolates not knowing which stories actually true.

I’ve seen the pics. I bet the cat is at least 150 pounds and maybe approaching 175. It’s a very big cat for Texas.

Wonder if the same cat that was spotted in Rowlett a few weeks back. Pretty close proximity the way a cat travels.

Wonder if that’s the one in the news over the last 2 weeks. First spotted around Rockwall, then I believe in Princeton this pst week.

The story seems screwy. The girlfriend claims that they had a fight on Tuesday and that he went to work on Wednesday morning, but she never spoke with him after Tuesday night. His body was found in a creek bed very close to their house. So this guy walks to work? That seems rather odd for a man in the oilfield business. https://www.facebook.com/chris.whiteley.79 This guy drives a truck, so where was his truck while he was at work? How would she not notice his truck being at home? Surely, he didn't go to work and a cat dragged his body back to their house.

This story does not seem to make sense based on the information given.

I work outside for a living and cover a lot of ground every day. I have seen mountain lions smack dab in the middle of Dallas before. The last one was at Westgrove Dr and Preston Rd. I had pictures and gave them to a Dallas County GW. This was pre-smartphone days and I no longer have copies.
