I have only hunted them once, in Roseburg Oregon, and was lucky enough to take a really nice 4x4. My hunting partner has been about 6 times over there, to both McMinville and Roseburg, and never seen a 4 point!!. He has gone a couple times to hunt them in Alaska too. Some things are addicting!
Here's a pic of mine. [Linked Image]

I would like to eventually take a Sitka blacktail and a Columbian blacktail to have all 4 species of deer

I was stationed in the Bay Area of CA for 3 years with the USN. I used to hunt blacktails north of Napa. Never got a big buck but I took deer every season. One thing about CA is they want to hold the deer season early. Archery started in July and rifle started in Aug so you had to think real serious about meat care. Blacktail are really good on the table.

Txtrophy85 - If you go by the North American 29, there’s 5 species of deer. Don’t forget Coues Deer.

I need Sitka and Columbia Blacktails to finish deer slam out.
