Best Hunting Boots

So I trashed my boots on my caribou hunt in Alaska last year. Im headed to the Yukon for a moose in September and I want to get the best boots possible. At this point comfort and reliability trumps cost. Im looking for an overall boot that I can take to Alaska but then also use here in Texas once it starts to get a little cooler. I've been looking at Crispi boots. Does anyone have any suggestions or direct experience? Thanks fellas.

Try to stick to Schnees, Crispi, Hanwag, Kennetek, Lowa and Zamberlan.

Going to come down to what fits your feet best and how stiff you want.

Gohunt has good sizing break down on their YouTube channel on many different models. My advice is order two sizes on what you settle on and then send other back

I’ve ran schnees, Hanwag, kennetek, lowa and zamberlan. Hanwag and zamberlan fit me best. Their wider boots tend to have same heel pocket as their non wide boots.

meindl is a great Italian or Dutch boot maker only US line sold is through Cabela's I've had a pair for a while and keep good dry feet. Great ankle support.

When I was stationed in Alaska with the military, they were pretty lenient with the boots we could wear on duty. The boot I wore was made by Danner, it was called the Fort Lewis boot. Not only were they extremely comfortable but would keep your feet dry and warm. I've stood in water and as long as it didn't go over the top of the boot my feet were dry. They are expensive, average price is $389.00 but worth every penny. Also very durable.

I have a couple pairs of danners and have been really happy with them. Insulated for my Colorado hunt and I insulated for Texas summers.

I bought a pair of Lowa Camino GTX last fall. I had a cheap old pair of GoreTex Danner's that leaked like crazy from day 1. The difference in quality was night and day. The Lowa's were very comfortable right out of the box, stiff enough sole and enough ankle support to make hunting in the Rockies a breeze, and kept my feet dry and warm with absolutely no moisture.
