Hwy 206 Burkett Texas Coleman Co. ??

Anyone hunt out in this area off 206 from CrossPlains to Burkett . Just wanting to know what quality or quantity of deer can be expected? Would like to know good
/bad of this area. Thanks for any help and or knowledge of this area.

Lot of hunters in that area. Plenty of deer and hogs. It has been awhile since I was in that area, but it had a lot of pressure and monsters are possible, but not a sure thing. Average deer are the norm

I pass through there going to my lease. Seen several around Deadmans Branch. Saw a hoss crossing a wheat field last year when passing though I imagine like most of that area 120's - 130's pretty good deer with an occasional bruiser,

Thanks for the info... We got a lease in that part of the world and have never hunted around there. Looking forward to a good year I hope.

Been on a lease just south of Burkett that has one fence line actually on 206. 300 ac with about 30something cow/calf. 3 hunters and a landowner that drives out on the property daily to feed. We dont get monsters, but get a couple nice bucks and plenty of doe every year. Pigs are plentiful. This was the first of 5 years now that i didnt see/hear a turkey. Weve seen some quail in the last few years, but not enough to hunt. Generally decent dove numbers but landowner also plants sunflowers
