Skunks under double wide - 02/18/20 05:02 PM
We have a double wide trailer at our duck lease. We have one or numerous skunks under it. We’ve trapped one but still don’t know if there are others. Has anyone had this happen and we’re able to get them out another way? We were even thinking of taking the skirts off of the sides and just flushing them out.

hmmm - first option - Tannerite. Second option, my buddy fumigated underneath his house and shot em with a scattergun when they popped out. I declined the invite for that happy hour...

Just wait for them to come out at dusk and shoot them

My pack keeps critters out from under our place. Dewey hates skunks.
Let’s see...
Warm water, dawn, hydrogen peroxide and baking soda followed by a through rinse and he’s ready to go again.
I should hire them out.

We put a radio on the opposite side of where they were coming in under the trailer house and played loud annoying music.

Put some Nancy Pelosi pictures under there. They will leave.

Don't think so......skunks seem to be drawn to Nancy Pelosi.

This has seemingly worked for our place

Every year I get skunks under our little guest cottage. I then remove some of the skirting and put real bright lights under there. They leave soon after. They don’t like bright light all day and night.
At the moment we have a grey fox living under there. I won’t bother him/her.

Don't get rid of 'em, they keep the mice population down.

Maybe on skunks, does not work on rats.

They won’t spray you if you paint their stripe black.

I put the moth balls under my house well after dark, after the skunks leave for their nightly prowling. When they come back they smell them and leave. It seemed to work.
I have an Armadillo under there now, seems like he don't care about moth balls.
