Gunsmith east side of metromess

Gunsmith east side of metromess - 01/06/20 05:00 PM

Anyone know of a gunsmith on the east. Preferably north east side of the metro? I am not trying to build a table gun. Simple little 10 minute job I would assume.

I bought an older Ruger 10/22 several years back. Got it for a good price because the safety button was missing. Best I can tell online is it needs a spring a keeper and the button installed. I dropped it off at a place before Thanksgiving. Was told a few days. Everytime I stop in and ask I get the same response. Last time I was in there I told them my patience was wearing thin and I got a few a couple stories excuses and sent on my way. They've got about a week to get it done and I'm picking it up taking it somewhere else.

Thanks

In Athens there is a shop called Out Back downtown on the east side of the square. Talk to Ben, the owner. He's closed on Wednesday's. Never used him but I've seen some of his LR builds.

I have used the Frisco Gun Club smith. He was quick and it was a much more in depth job than what you have.

I’m pretty sure Ruger will fix that for free and pay for shipping both ways. Looks like you’ve got it figured out already though.

Wp. 1911 called me yesterday to inform me that, that is a factory fitted part and they were having to send it to Ruger. There was not quote discussed. Hopefully it's just shipping.
