Ranch Recommendations - 12/16/19 11:22 PM
In the process of planning a March visit to Texas, possibly hill country area. My son and I enjoy hog hunting and a little fishing mixed in. My wife wants to photograph wildlife and exotics. Any recommedations on a really nice ranch that would offer something like this. It must be "wife approved" type of accomaodations, nothing rustic on this visit. Thanks for the help.

Google Glen Rose, TX. There's a wildlife park nearby, guest ranches, etc.

Rough Creek is really nice (not cheap). Guaranteed that Wife will approve. Not sure about the hog hunting, but the fishing is unbelievable.

Freshwater fishing, I've been there. $700 a day for two people, includes dinner and breakfast. About $350 additional for your son. But cost does not include hunting. $250 a day for hog hunting and another $250 if you kill one. Up to two hogs for that extra $250.
Was it worth it, yes. Would I do it again, no.
