Unusual sighting - 12/15/19 02:28 PM

Hunters down near Encinal have photos of a small black bear on the game cams. That is interesting.

They aren't likely to see too many more after the wall is completed.

Well then, I guess we should let every foreigner who can run, jump & swim come over here.

Amen, we didn't have many black bear before the wall started going up....so we really aren't going to miss them.

And IF we did want black bears back in South Texas, just offer a good price for them and the folks South of the Border will find a way to smuggle them in.

Yep, lots of activity on the border this last week. The place we hunt is right on the river so there a discussion with some contractors and while we were cutting wood the border patrol came by in trucks and helicopters to greet us. roflmao It was interesting to say the least. Apparently they are using cellular trail cams on trails near the river and when we triggered it they came by to say hi. They even buzzed a few of our deer blinds.

It's sad that it has gotten this bad.

Even black bears don't like living in a third world sink hole.

There's enough bears already here whether the wall is built or not. From Mexico, Oklahoma, Louisiana and New Mexico. We're surrounded by them.

Further west along the river, they use ground sensors, stationary and pe4manent cameras among other things. I’m a retired LEO, and I used to work directly with USBP. Their regular radio traffic is officers being dispatched to numbered areas for sensor hits. We worked extra duty with them on federal grants so we did the same thing but didn’t do the paperwork -just turned the illegals over.
