Processors in Tyler for an Elk

Processors in Tyler for an Elk - 09/05/19 04:20 AM

My nephew shot a cow elk in Colorado and considering getting it processed at Jim & Buddy’s in Tyler.
Anyone have any knowledge of this place? Or good experience with others?
He just got home with it quartered out and has to take it somewhere on his lunch hour tomorrow - Thursday.

I have no idea around Tyler, but I do know Eddie and would trust him on this 100% If you saw his trophy wall, you'd understand.

Ditto on the congrats as well. up

Thanks Guys! Quite a story that goes with this kill. Maybe I can get the details.
Public land hunt and some of the highlights were:

Called in 4 hunters to within 40 yds with a bull call.
had one hunter walk by within 7 yds that never saw him.
Witnessed some yayhoo walking around using his phone during prime time hunting hours.
A cow elk is one tough animal - capable of going a mile and a half after a solid lung shot spraying blood all over the place.

roflmao

Seen all that and more over the years, then they go home and bitch because they didn't see anything.

Kudos to your nephew for actually "hunting", he has meat in the freezer and a story to tell up

I've used Jim and Buddy before and love their work. They make some great sausage too. Congratulations to the young man. I hope to bring one back in Oct.
