It had no antlers and had the features of a Doe. The Bucks had her running around in circles and some of the Bucks acted like they wanted to fight. I had never seen anything like this before.

Maybe it was a Buck that Identified as a doe and the other Bucks did not go for it confused2

IF, and that's and BIG IF, it wasn't a nubbin/spike you didn't notice...

Two days after the new moon. 7% light. May have caused a couple girls to get 'close' to smelly. Only thing I can figure.

Full moon triggers most does, typically 4-5 days afterward. Bucks a little sooner in anticipation. Have also seen a muted effect, on new moons, over the years.

We've noticed that the bucks have broken out of bachelor groups. We did eyeball a beautiful 150's yesterday that stood and looked at us at 40 yards.

This doe had the features of a buck from a distance.

I have seen two mature bucks(in hard antlers) chasing a doe around Sept 23 or so in Kendall County one year. It was after an early cold front and it was 43 deg. that morning but the rut started their in mid Oct every year. They were with her all day when I saw them early that morning till later that afternoon again. I found fawns on the ground around April 25th every year and earliest I found was April 5th on this ranch. So anything is possible.
