San Antonio TTHA Show - 08/13/19 01:29 PM

I have made all two of the legs so far and down to the easiest one for me, San Antonio. I hope to see all of my life long hunting buddies from South Texas and meet a lot of new ones. Again, I will be in the booth with the PURSUIT CHANNEL near the middle of the big hall on the east side of the Expo Center. We will be giving away swag from PURSUIT, CARNIVORE stickers and telling lies...Hope to see you there.
Adios,
Gary

I went to the one in Houston for the second straight year. Very disappointing to me. Everyone hires young ladies to try and sell $20 and up raffle tickets for an AR. It's really hard to buy anything of size there, so you are left with small items and hunts. It is also difficult for vendors to get there and set up. They really need to move it out to the Katy area. Or, maybe just do one between San Antonio/Houston/Austin and then another further north like northern burb of DFW.

Also need to send out free tickets to Retail buyers, so we can get more vendors there.

Lastly, group the like vendors (waterfowl guides, deer hunts, exotic hunts, archery gear, box blinds, guns, optics, etc). Would make it so much easier to find things.

Just my 2cents

While there may be a little less traffic at the San Antonio show, it is my favorite. One because it is closer to the house, two, less traffic and three, because I have so many friends in the area. On Saturday, it was so great to have life long friends, Robbie Hurt and wife, Cynthia along with Little Roy Hindes and wife Pam. I have known these GREAT folks since we were in high school but it had been may years since I have seen them at the TTHA show. I am the world's worst at social media and now kicking myself for not getting a photo with them.
To all the GREAT Folks who stopped by the PURSUIT booth at the shows, THANK YOU!!!
Adios,
Gary

Met my brother out there with our kiddos and walked around. It seems like the show isn't as big as it used to be? Maybe we missed some of it, but I remember there being a lot more stuff as a kid. And the rattle snake pen had like 10 snakes in it, not like it used to be. The kiddos had fun and we ended up buying a new tower blind, had some decent deals on some of them. We didn't go looking to buy one but figured with the little time we had and what we found it wasn't bad.

There are more exhibitors at the San Antonio show than in the past. Difference is the two halls separated by the seating area. I can remember the good old days when we were all on the floor or in the concourse at Joe Freeman.
Adios,
Gary

P. S. Joe had more snakes but is keeping them in the boxes as he switches them out. In the old days, he dumped them all and by the end of the show, they were exhausted and he lost some of them.
