Like I said before, "if you shoot those kind, just don't post it on Facebook"
Dead snakes tell no lies.
Refusing to kill snakes that have traditionally been called "poisonous" has become the new way to elevate oneself within the outdoors community.
I noticed a Houston TV station just recently referred to "poisonous" snakes. I wonder how many calls and emails they got about that.
The comment about elevating oneself, reminds me of vegans. I have been giving most snakes a pass ever since my stepdad got on me for killing a bunch of bullsnakes with a hoe one day. To me they were just a binch of scary snakes, I didn't understand why we needed them around. I didn't know any better at the time but at least I had a man to teach me.
I’m just to the point of not killing a snake, or pretty much any critter other than invasives, unless I’m gonna eat it.
I don’t really care if anybody else kills one, but I always wonder why some folks think the way that they do.
I was taught to never kill anything unless you are gonna eat it when I was a boy. But I learned quickly that there were many exceptions to this rule! Some things need killin'!
